The Art of Sacrifice in Chess

En forstørret nyutgave på engelsk av Rudolf Spielmanns berømte bok "Richtig Opfern!" fra 1935. Karsten Müller har gjennomgått klassikeren og kommer med noen tilleggskommentarer med moderne computerhjelp, og har i tillegg skrevet en supplerende nesten ny halvdel av boka.

Vi er lett skeptiske til klussing med en gammel klassiker, men synes at resultatet har blitt særdeles bra og en ganske komplett innføring i angrepssjakk med offer, på grunnlag av Spielmanns gode bok som Müller tydelig også setter stor pris på. Spielmanns velskrevne bok (altså første halvdel av den foreliggende boka) systematiserer emnet offer i sjakk og er bygget rundt 37 av hans egne partier.
