En omtale på engelsk
GM Vladimir Malaniuk has been the main driving force behind the Leningrad Variation for decades.
Malaniuk has found many original plans which turned this branch of the Dutch into an active and dangerous weapon. White cannot enter dull and boring positions even if he insists on this.
Therefore, it is often used when Black wishes to play for a win, particularly in decisive games. The book also offers a repertoire against 1.c4 and 1.Nf3.
Grandmaster Vladimir Malaniuk is a three-time Ukrainian champion (1980, 1981, 1985), a silver medalist of 1986 USSR championship. He won the European Champion Clubs' Cup with his team CSKA in 1988, took the silver in the world team championship with Ukraine in 1992, the silver (1996) and the bronze (1998) at the Olympiads with Ukraine.
Petr Marusenko is an International Master. He is the author of the book: "New ideas in the Sveshnikov Sicilian "(with V. Neverov).
