The Modern Bogo 1.d4 e6

Egentlig en stor bok om Bogoindisk (1 d4 Sf6 2 c4 e6 3 Sf3 Lb4+), men altså i en annen trekkrekkefølge som åpner og stenger enkelte dører. En etterlengtet bok om mange varianter lite behandlet i "teorien" og dermed ekstra attraktive å spille.

Forfatterne drøfter flere ulike varianter for begge spillerne. Det "eneste" vi ikke ser behandlet, er den klassiske hovedvarianten fra Nimzowisch sin tid med 4 Ld2 De7. Svart gis i stedet valgmuligheten Lxd2+, c5 eller a5.

Etter hvert kapittel har boka tydelige oppsummeringer og et antall treningsoppgaver, så det høye sidetallet er godt benyttet til beste for leseren. En såpass omfattende bok egner seg nok likevel best for spillere fra rating cirka 12-1300 og oppover.

Dejan Antic (Serbia, 1968) is a Grandmaster who has worked as a chess trainer in Australia and Greece. International Master Branimir Maksimovic (1955) was also born in Serbia. He has worked as a chess coach for 30 years, and is a well-known chess opening theoretician.
